My bf just purchased an engagement ring for me and he felt confident the day he purchased it but now he's getting all worried because he thinks that maybe he got ripped off or something. He told me that he wants to make sure it's legit because he wants the best for me (he's so sweet) but I told him that no matter what he chose that I will be happy because it's not even about the ring, to me it's about being together. Anywho, so the ring was originally marked for about 9 thousand and he got a good deal for mother's day and it was marked for $3,500 and it's a 1.98 karat... Also he got lifetime warranty on it and it's non-refundable. I think maybe he's just panicking lol... Anyway, so he has not shown the ring to me yet because he wants it to be a surprise but he says it is beautiful. I told him if he's so worried then for him to go get it appraised somewhere but then again we are worried a store might say "leave it here" and then they can take the real diamonds out... ahhh help!! Has anyone heard of this store or made a purchase there?

That price for almost a two carat ring is VERY good. All he really needs to know is if the stones are real diamonds and the metal is what it is supposed to be. Both of those things can be determined without removing the stones. At the end of the day, you have to trust somebody and not be paranoid. Take the ring to Zales or some large older chain of stores for assessment.

It sounds like he got a great buy but if any part of the ring turns out to be fake, he can take it back and threaten to call the media about them scamming the public with fake jewelry. He'll certainly get a full refund then!! : }
