Last year or so I found this rock in the sea it's like a cm thick and it's a really unique shape kind of like a diamond/kite oval I don't really know haha,on the bottom it's plain brown (like rocky texture to it) and on the top it's a beautiful pattern it's blue, green and whitey yellow and speaks of white it's really shiny and what I want to know is it something that the sea made? Or something someone bought and lost or?? I've asked quite a few people and they've said the sea most likely made it but I want to know any ideas guys? Many thanks! Points for best answer!:)

Your description suggests to me that you have a piece of broken glazed pottery which has been knocking around long enough for the sharp edges to be smoothed and rounded.

sound like a mineral or possible a crystal formation they are rear and very rare if found on a beach most mineral and crystals can be identified by their composition or if they have a grained content or a chemically built matrix, it could be an a member of the Si02 group possible one of the amethyst or similar without really seeing it cant be sure hon!!!
